What to do when 1.3 comes out?

I think that it should be anything besides inventory reset, because it was announced that there would be an expertmode, which would make it difficult for everyone if their inventories were reset, and I believe current endgame armor would have upgrades

Ok.

So I'm now planning to a pretty big re-vamp of the ranking system.

The plan is to now go lvl 1 to 100, with rank name changes every 10 leves. Citizen > Recruit from level 1 to 10 to 20. At 20 you will pick a class where the classes will still be the same, except that I'll be dropping 1 class (probably Warriors or Pirates) to keep 6 classes, which will bascially be 1 of 3 bases... Pirates/Warrior/Builder will be the "melee" class", Priests/Mages will be the mage class and Rouges/Hunters will be the ranged attack class.

I will hold a poll to see if we should keep warriors or pirates.

Further to that, I'll be changing the permissions for all spells around as well as adding Classed base requirements for ccertain items. Eg High level items will only be available to certain classes, with mid-high level items onyl being available to higher level players. For Example, Only Mages can wear spectre set and only the Melee class can wear the Tank sets, ect. More details on this are to be worked out but will be targeted for most high level items and weapons, some wings and spells, ect. to make the classes more relevant.

The cost to level up will also be cheaper... but at the same time will have a 5-10 minute cooldown, so you can't just cheat to go from 1 to 100 in 2 minutes. More on this to be worked out.

question... if we dont do a rank reset, what will happen to our current classes? (I really still hope we dont do a rank reset )

the ranks will stay, although I'll be reset the bank accounts, most likely.

I have a lot of improvements in mind, but it's going to take some time. I would like to get them done before 1.3, so it's ready to go, but i dont know when 1.3 is out so ill just try do it asap.

The shop and new ranking system should be ready this weekend....

Apparently 1.3 is going to be the last update for Terraria.

Well full reset seems fine to start anew but not the levels though

World reset. I have a lvl 13, a lvl 25, a lvl 9 or 10, and a lvl 14. I don't want too lose all this. And yes Panther, this will be the last update, but they will also release T2 (Terraria 2), or so they say. If they DO release T2, then PLEASE make a server on it. I have already seen rumors about it... (Hint hint New boss: 100k lives, 500 defense, and 300 attack, I have no idea if that is true though!)
