Nope, all the content in the plot is left there for the next owner.
Lol I am not being specific enough I guess. You said you were building it at the time and that you were going to decorate it. Then he stole it out from under you while you weren't at the plot (from what I gather). You seem to think he was waiting for the very second the ownership was lost and snatched out from under you. As far as I can see the plot was not owned because payments weren't made. He wanted a plot of his own and from the few that were available he wanted that one. So he purchased it. You return to see all your work gone and someone else owns the plot.
The story should end there, but instead you make a thread that both insults and villainizes this player for buying a plot he had full rights to purchase.
Lets forget that for a second and look at your suggestion of late rent and extra fees. You are asking for an extension on the due date of rent in case someone forgots to fill their account with enough fading soul shards. The first problem with this is that when people don't have enough money to buy something, can they still buy it? No, they need to have enough money for it. This is technically a subscription to a plot of land and when the payment of that money does not happen, the subscription goes away. That is it. Some people brought up how it should be like paying rent on a real plot of land or an apartment, where a buyer has a grace period if they don't have enough money. There are two differences here however. The first being that those are
REAL LIFE apartments that people
NEED to live in. This is terraria, not real life. Second they pay money monthly for those while terrarians pay daily. Grace periods of few days after a month of waiting isn't huge, but a few days waiting after a day is literally that. The player now owes 2+ payments (plus a tax?) and you can't even get that by voting for the server once. Third these lands are highly sought after and often times there is none available. Iif you can't pay and someone else can, then @Panther wants the person who can pay. Last but not least this is asking @Panther to do extra work for one specific case that really isn't that important to the server.
I understand you are upset about losing your build, but we aren't going to make a special exception just for you.
