/shop sell !

uh..Hello there everyone, I am Pride. So during these past days, I have noticed something. There are many players on the server that are unable to sell their items. Many people have stacks of luminite bars and have no idea where to sell them, because now a days,  there are hackers everywhere. And these hackers are mostly spawning in tons of Items above /warp spawn, especially Moon Lord drops.

Since no plugin has been generated to stop these hacked clients from even entering the server as of yet, this problem has become common. I have been trying selling a Gravity Globe for so long and no one seems to buy it, because of these hackers.

So I would like to propose this plugin, /shop buy.
The plugin is self-explanatory and explaining it is not necessary. You basically go to the shop and type this command with the following syntax:

/shop buy <item name> <stack number>

Once the plugin identifies that the item the player listed is in his/her inventory, it will simple take it, in exchange of its market price.

So there you have it, that is the idea of my plugin. If you like it, do encourage it so that it can come into existence.

This would also kill the player economy; why sell to other players when you could sell to the shop instantly without waiting and without being scammed?

To fix that, the shop would have to offer extremely or very low prices for these items.

Nevertheless, the idea will remain dangerous in other aspects because managing a sell option so that it is balanced is quite complex.

I understand where you're coming from with the whole "It's hard to sell items" because it truly is with the massive supply. You have to understand there will be a fixed demand for items and that the problem is the supply.

Other than that, something should be done about the common appearance of hackers, I have encountered MANY. Even those who people think can't be hackers are hackers.

But I will still go on to spreading my plugin ideas, I have had a lot of experience from other servers and forums, as you can clearly see.

I don't think being able to sell items to the server shop is a good idea. A platinum coin is worth 25,000,000 soul shards on the server shop, if you were to be able to sell them for atleast half the price or a million and above, that'd be horrible for the community. It's a good idea, but probably not good for the server.

The shop was made so that players could buy items that were otherwise nearly impossible to obtain without a tremendous amount of effort, and to allow players to easily buy things that are very hard to attain normally. allowing players to sell their items to the shop would not only destroy the economy and make soul shards absolutely worthless, but be subject to severe abuse... Like cucumberr said, people only have to get a few platinum coins in order to get very wealthy. About the players selling their items, When a player sells an item, its usually unobtainable from the shop, or less expensive than the shop price, and the uncertainty of whether the item was hacked or not does not affect whether someone wants to buy an item. If someone truly wanted the item that a player is selling, they would buy it. Also, if you see someone trying to sell stacks of luminite, it can be either: A troll who is using [i/p or just spamming Alt+click and really only has one stack, or someone who has stacks and stacks of luminite in a chest, in which case, screenshot it and report it here on the forums.
Also, you say you have seen many many hackers, But so long as a moderator is online to ban them, the problem is gone, and if not, screenshot proof that they are hacking, and report it in the report section.

Let me explain a bit more. Adding of sell function to the shop is possible(i've seen it) but the problem is there's a lot of users that simply just hacks all of the items in (as you already said) and we can't really do anything about it. The point is that they would just spawn the items and sell them to the shop and in that way they could get rich for only few hours even if you make the prices lower it wouldn't change anything (since players just spawn in items for free) at all and it would definitely ruin the economy. I think that would be a main reason why it will not be implemented.

I understand and this plugin shouldn't be encouraged as long as hackers are on the loose.
So, my first suggestion got declined, but this is not the end.

My suggestion is that we can sell our other items that people dont buy in the shop and we will get paid with ss if anyone of you think this is good well +rep me ahhaha jk people, anyways i really love this suggestion of mine to come into existence.

It is good idea I got loads of true eye of chulu spawner every time I throw one I get back after an hour AHHHHHH
