(anybody who reads this, it's a template for a project i'm working on, so just ignore it. don't delete it and don't lock it. i need it for what i'm going to do in the future and will delete sections as time goes by)
So, you've just logged into Panthers Terraria Server huh? Well, there's a lot of things to do if you have your mind and time for it.
Now many of you have asked: "How do i get cash/ss/money" "where are my items???" " can i have items pls" " is this a free items server?"
Before you start, please read the signs in the spawn room, Panthers terraria server is not a free item server, you need to earn your items. And before you join, read the description for where you found pts, it should tell you what it has in it
Panther's terraria server is SSC which stands for "Server Side Character" This means that you cannot use your items that you have obtained elsewhere. you need to re-earn them in here. earning them back is easy, that's where your cash question comes in. In PTS, the currency is called SS or Soul Shards for it's full term. you can gain SS by doing the following:
/Pickpocket (player), Killing bosses or mobs, gambling, Collecting a bounty, Trading players, Competing in competitions, Voting, or winning the monthly raffle.
Pickpocket allows you to steal people's cash. however, if you're caught, you get sent to jail for a while! and you better not have coins or you, or you could lose them upon death inside of the prison as it's filled with traps.
Killing bosses or mobs are one of the best ways. If a vip or staff happends to be kind and summon monsters for you, you can gain cash by killing them. Don't beg for it though, not only is it against the rules, but it could lead to a greater chance of them denying the request. you should just wait until they announce their choice to spawn.
Collecting a bounty:
"A (number) Bounty has been placed on (player)'s head!"
This means that there is a bounty on that player. if you kill that player, you get the cash and they get sent to prison! once you kill them, a message showing "(player) claimed a (cash) soul shards bounty for killing (player)"
Trading players: "one mans junk is another mans treasure" Even if it's horrible items, it's best to sell them to people as you can get the cash for it! be reasonable though, or people won't buy them. sell too cheap and you won't make enough money for the future, and the likelihood for finding a person who wants it, becomes lower. You can sell to people buy heading to the trading room to the right of /spawn or you can do /trade (cash ammount) however, you need to put the item in your trash slot for it to be traded over.
competitions: Keep an eye out on the forums, because there are competitions that often appear there and you can make some money competing in it! don't be hesitant to try, otherwise you might lose your chance. Guilds often host competitions, sometimes the administrators of the server do. Rarely do players make competitions
voting: /vote will tell you how to get cash. if you put it in successfully ( don't put steam username in. only ingame name) after a few minutes, you'll get your cash. it takes a while for the server to register it, however. if you vote enough times, you have a chance to compete in the monthly lotto for 100 million or 250 million Soul shards. Maybe even a donator rank, too!
Now that you've got your cash, let's buy some items.
if you do /warp shop you'll be in a small room. To find what you want, you need to do /search
/search allows you to find the item you need. you can do so buy typing /search Rod of Discord (example) but, some items require the use of " " because it won't register. so if you do /search "Rod Of Discord" it should come up, or you could by typing it wrong. it will tell you in which shop it is located in, and the price for it. once you're in the correct shop, you can do /buy "Rod Of Discord" and it will take some of your cash and you get the item in return.
Some items won't be in the shop because they're either banned or not yet implemented into the shop.
Gambling: This is not a reliable source, but with enough patience, it can lead you to all the riches you need. you can gamble by doing /gamble (cash) (high/low/number)
Example: /gamble 1000000 low
Gambling high or low gives you about 1.5x the reward if you have won, but the number gives you 9X the reward of what you gambled with. but you can lose though, so be careful with how much you bet.
You can also do /lottery (number) it will take a tiny portion of your cash and if you guess the number correctly, you get the winnings. which normally isn't much, but it's better than nothing.
as you are playing, you get 50k ss for being awesome. this is more useful for when you are low on cash or need some money to gamble.

Guilds: /guild will give you various instructions on how to create guilds. Guilds allow you to put teamwork together to conquer others in guild war, or
Protections: Protections allow you to stop players from tearing down your house. To create protections, you will need to make a room first.
There is a limit to being a total of 1500000 blocks. ( will put length and height maximum down later). Once you've cleared out your area, you can do
Commands list: There are many ( full list for vip and non will be completed later)
Warps: Warps help you get from one place to another rather than travelling by rod or digging your way in. To use warps, do /warp (name). Example: /warp arena or /warp west
Warps west and east take you to the ocean, a popular place to fight mobs or if you'd like to go fishing. Warp arena or any other arena, allows you to fight mobs during the events that appear on the screen. You could even find VIPs hosting their own mob spawns in there.
/warp ml is where moon lords are normally spawned. When you hear an announcement on it, head there as soon as you can.
/warp dungeon or jungle will take you to seperate spots. The jungle is a great place to find ores for beginners or wanting to extend their lifesource. The dungeon is useful for obtaining some items, but you can't spawn the cultist there because it's blocked. The point of it being there is to stop the cultist from lagging out the server, and because ml and fragments are meant to be harder to get
Server Notices: Every few months, panther Clears the entire server of housing. this will give a world a brand, fresh new area for new players to build in. some things can be requested to be moved, but you will need to contact staff officials about it.
Every month, if you have voted enough times, you can win either gold, silver or bronze vip. Vip is a donator rank with extra benefits from normal players. You can also win Ss at the end of the month if you have not won the vip or meet the minimum requirements for it
