not accounting for level, that doesn't matter, in the end it's about viability / utility
it would also help if mages weren't shafted in 1.3 pvp but whatever
prism is imbalanced without even taking account of the projectile's visibility, with minimal setup there's no counter play against it other than not missing two - three daybreaks / sniper shots (both of which have to be optimized or else you lose the damage trade, if you weren't losing it already from sheer zoning and map control), and that's unlikely, nothing is supposed to stay still to be hit
you can even run a dr% prism build, now it's more of a hassle to try to break it down
meowmere's primary application is zoning, it shuts down the lower half of an arena; it's gimmicky and can become unbearable if used in an enclosed space, but it's just that, gimmicky
in comparison, star wrath is much better in practical use and can two-three shot players with just as much effort as last prism, the only thing that prevents star wrath = last prism is its applicable range
terrarian can be evaded somewhat and frankly it's use is relegated to covering chokes if the players are experienced enough, because players can be highly mobile in an optimal situation
s.d.m.g is plat coin gun 2.0, it's feasible counter is (again) db / sniper rifle provided that there is no whiffing, the matchup still favors sdmg; it's imbalanced but not grossly so like prism, a 2 pixel stream is still more bearable
lunar flare, the 1.3 upgrade from blizzard staff, is not any better than a pally hammer on a damage basis, it might even be worse to use a lunar flare, it has an application to use just like anything else
rainbow crystal staff is a straight upgrade from the hydra staff, it's neat utility and can be used to play point and click adventures (somewhat) and can two-three shot depending on the players' builds, but in that scenario db / sniper / nb would be better a lot of the time
last prism? point in a general direction in a 60* cone and then click anywhere inside it, congratulations, a kill has been secured
in terms of imbalance i would rate it
