Lately there has been a huge increase in support threads requesting for help due to an item being lost. Really now; Its an item. You don't need it to have fun on the server, and most items (save for a couple things like dungeon drops and the rod of discord) are really easy to get anyway. Moderators can't, and hopefully won't, return these items when you ask for support, and otherwise there is nothing they can do. These threads are not necessary and think before you post: Is it something a moderator can actually solve? Is there any actual proof of what i need support for? Can I solve it myself? Because chances are, unless its a general server problem (Item frames have been reported fairly often, with good reason, and is the reason why I myself try to remove them), or really anything on the actual server rule list, its probably something you can solve without a support thread.
Most of these reports come from things like dropping, item frames, and simply disappearing from their inventory.. So:
Dropping: You can remove your bind-key completely by following these instructions. Alternatively rebind your key to something odd like the "\" key or simply train yourself to avoid pressing that button often.
Item Frames: The grand majority of you have cell phones. Screenshot the item frame and put in the position of the item frame and request in support that it be removed. For those of you that don't have cellphones: Screenshot a large area around it. Most of us moderators have a large portion, if not all of the surface of the world. If you managed to find an item frame somewhere deep underground and accidentally click it with an important item, then item frames are the least of your worries.
Disappearance: Should be pretty obvious that if your items are randomly disappearing then you are dropping it without knowing, which you can fix, or something that is beyond anyone's control and not something that can be solved by a support thread.
Glitches: According to @Pride (thanks btw) you can lose your item while using it when entering a minigame. Solution: Don't do it.
Anyone's best option if you ever run into something like this is to ask a person who sells stuff. It shouldn't be hard to get things like that because people practically spam the chat with all the items they are selling, which are usually useful, popular items, and probably something that would have been worth reporting otherwise.
