Ignore Update (Poll)
#11
1, Yeah, it' gone fast but better than nothing at all.. If you see a long message and miss you you know there was a message and can read the normal chat. For messages like Hey, Sup, ect are fine...

2, Yeah... so? You kind of get a better idea who it came from.. If VIPs want to use hard to read text thats really their problem..

3, i refer you to point 1.

I understand. Though, I remain at the opinion that I don't really like the current overhead chats. I found the previous one convenient and usefull enough, hardly anwhere from needing an improvement/change.

1 - That's precisely the point. Not everyone is a fast reader, and I'm honestly surprised you can fully read a full sentence in less than a second. Server features should work for a catch-all group, so also people who aren't as fast in reading. The point isn't where you should ánd overheads, ánd normal chat to see what a one message means. If overhead chat lasts for so unreliably long, it's as good as redunant. Overhead chats has the perk for easy communication when you're nearby; you can easily see who says what without relying on constantly looking at names.

2 - All overhead chats have the colour of that person's rank. (where VIP's have custom prefixes.) Mine was orange, because of my VIP-colour, and literally everyone else I see has different colours; exactly the same as their rank. If all your chat is green, maybe you altered some settings, I'm not sure.

3 - You can be quite wrong though. You can always type while moving, because you don't suddenly "stop" moving. Fade-out movement, but you can also be falling, riding a cart, gliding, etc etc. And on top of that, you need to constantly rely on the server because your chat is no longer tied to your character, it's tied to the x and y pos of where the server THINKS your character was at that point (which, in some occassions, can be very far off.)

11111(my 1 key is a bit off today)stly, That is not the point, what I mean is to let the writing keep longer.

2ndly, I know what do you mean by that, but for me everyone is green.

3rdly, You have to stop, type, and then press enter and move again. Try to move while typing!! And the text keeps there but you are very likely to stay there. And because of the short duration of time you are definitely having enough time to look in the chat.

PS Some people's chat are not showing in chat for some reason.
lolicons should perish??? idk why tho

but do you like being able to use ignore?

Because if you want to use ignore, you don't get chat above heads at all anymore, which is why i replaced it with combat text.

I feel as ignore is useless i thought it would be good but turns out there is pretty much no need to ignore. Yu can ussually just solve the problem with a person or a mod can deal with him/her.But i would like the every time you chat its on your head removed because i do like how it would stay longer before and and it was white pretty easy to read.

ignore works great but the problem is that even if I ignore someone there are still other people spamming chat because there is a bad apple acting up. If other people would use the ignore function and not give the attention seekers the attention they want then it would be perfect. But most people seem to just like spamming chat

Well, i like it.

This way we can use colour/item tags in chat to make things more interesting...

I really dont mind the battle chat as I just use it as a trigger for hey they just said something maybe I should have a closer look with the chat but I dont use the ignore anyway you would use If there was someone swearing/spamming the chat but i dont find that annoying I would rather deal with the person. If you do use ignore though what if that person wants to buy or sell to you for instance they would end up standing in front of and getting frustrated if you forget that you have ignored them sorry if confusing just trying to put out my POV

well if someone wants to trade with someone they ignored, its their problem... they just need to unignore them :/

also, if you're using /trade to do the trade request, these notify message dont get ignored.
