My opinion how to improve the server

I believe the server is good for newcomers. Not perfect, but still nice. As suggested, a tutorial place would be a good addition.

The problem is that the server does not maintain players lasting. You come in online and let's say you want to stay as long as possible. Usually, this happens:
>you join, of course
>build a house
>get some items
>build a house
>you progress
>you now have an end game character
>giant mansion, full of items you don't even use
>?

All that remains are minigames, but even these can get boring easily. Who is the "youngest veteran" we have here? I mean, someone who joined like 3 or 4 months ago and hasn't quit ever since. I check the forums almost every day, always read player reports - because unfortunately those are the only new threads I see - and I can see that it's always the same players. Not much has changed. Even building things gets boring, hence why I left, but that's to blame the game developers.

As some might know, I spent a lot of my childhood time playing a korean MMORPG called Ragnarok Online. I even suggested Guild War to be like Ragnarok's War of Emporium, and I don't know if this is what Panther wanted, but they are VERY similar. No, they're identical. Just damage the dummy/emporium as much as possible and you win. Now, you know why I spent so much time playing the game? Simple, it always featured new content. Even in 2010, 7 years after the game's release, a massive update was released which brought a ton of players back. Not to mention the various content patched that were released featuring new quests and regions etc etc etc.

My point is: Always introduce something new to do or your players won't last long.

>inb4 panther is not a robot, he can't work on new content forever.
I did say "every month" for a reason. Besides, what about the staff team? Or at least someone who could take care of this for Panther?

>inb4 the moderators would get a lot of increased activity.
Indeed. Back in my days, Ragnarok had a staff team split into two "sectors": The Administrators, who were in this rank permanently or for over a year and the Game Masters, which are the equivalents of what we call "Moderator" here. They kept their rank for I don't know, 3 months? After that, a new team of Game Masters would be chosen. I say we use a system like this one, change /all/ moderators every 2 or 3 months and we wouldn't have to deal with the problem of moderators going inactive because they need a break.

I could write this post all day, but first I need some feedback. Leave your opinions or questions and I'll reply.

EDIT: Yes, a reset would be great.

I very much agree with you. I've been playing on the server for a while now, I remember when there where ranks within the server. And since then, I've bought VIP and nearly got banned because of Shadow Dodge. What you said was true, I have a giant block full of end-game items that I never use. I would love to have a way to enhance my experience on the server.
