Poll: Ignore or Chat Above Heads?

To be honest, mostly when I'm building or in the middle of something important, my eyes are fixed at the current situation, and I don't pay attention to chat at that time. So..that can result in a minor problem when it comes to me. But, generally speaking, this would be a helpful plugin and can save people from getting Angry and saying things that they regret saying afterwards. I agree to the implementation of such a Plugin.

I've been already pretty long on this server, and to be honest, I've never seen the real "need" to block somebody.

These 2 things are why i vote to keep chat above heads...

There is already anti spam and swear filter.

If people are abusing you can have a mod mute them.

Maybe mods can have a plugin "/talk" to players If they need help so there is no confusion between players.

They can whisper to them (/w <Message>, if you're asking Panther to develop a plugin which allows a MOD to have a word with a player in private.

These 2 things are why i vote to keep chat above heads...

I sorta agreed to the implementation of the plugin ;-;. Also, adding something to my point, back in 1.2, when I used to play on other servers, I didn't even see chats above a player's head, so I'm pretty comfortable without chats above heads most of the time. But, if you still believe that we are missing the big picture here, put the plugin on for a day or two and let's see what happens, i.e how people can abuse it and the disadvantages of playing without chats above heads. If I see some major problem, I'll report them back to you.

@Pride is right we should test the command and if it doesn't work you can get rid of it.you never know if you don't try it and players can report here what they think about it.Also staff should not be able to be come ignored by players and should ignore players because there point is to help players.but I don't decide that so we will see but hope I up some ideas that could help.

with Ignore, you can not ignore staff, so that doesnt matter.

The issue is it just break your char appearing above your head, thats all.



The vote is pretty even, currently people in favour of just leaving it the way it is...

Its the weekend now, so ill have yet another look at it tonight...

On a side note, if we disable chat above heads to use Ignore, you will also be able to use item tags like [i:50] in your rank prefix, but this would be for VIPs only
